Bookables (Class)

[Intro] In this lesson we’ll be discussing setting up the bookables for your app, in particular, Class bookables. Let’s get started…

[Editor] To access the bookables section. Click on the Platfio editor, then click on bookables.

You will be directed to the ‘Bookable Collections Editor’ page where you can manage and organize all your bookables for your app.

To add a new collection. Click on the plus icon to access the ‘Bookable Collection Editor’. Then, we add the name, Yoga Classes, then press on save.

Once you’ve created a collection. Let's add a new bookable. Click on the plus button at the top right.

Then under the details tab, select the type of bookable. For this lesson we will pick Class. Then create the name, let’s call it Yoga Classes.

Next on the Rules tab. Let's create some Recurrings. Let's add the name, Yoga for Everyone, and then set the price to $15. This will be at 4 pm, for the duration of 45 minutes. Then let's set it to be for every Monday. Wednesday. and Friday. Then click on the plus button at the top right.

Let’s add another recurring, let’s name it Yoga Advanced, and the price is $30 and for this one at 5 pm, and the duration is 90 minutes and this is on Tuesdays and Thursdays, press add and then save.

When we go to the classes tab, we can see that the classes are recurring we have created for the first four weeks of classes.

Now that we have our bookable created, we’ll add it to navigation. Press the helper at the lower right corner and click on the Windows icon. You can then choose where to add the bookable. This time we will add it to the Left Hand Side Menu.

[Emulator] Next with our Emulator, let's test the Bookable from the user's perspective.

Open the left-hand side menu.

We will see that the bookable we have added is available.

Click on the bookable created, we can then select the date and time slot we want to book, we can choose multiple dates on this page and then click on proceed.

We can then review the booking and add the card details, and then click on Checkout. A confirmation screen will show up once the booking is confirmed.

[Manager] Then as an app Manager, to check on the booking created, go to the Platfio Manager, then click on Bookings to be directed to the Bookings Manager.

We can then see here that the Yoga classes have been successfully booked, you can click on a class and you can see that one person is confirmed.
