[Intro] In this lesson, we’ll be discussing Marketing for your app. In particular, with Email. Let’s get started.

On your app, you can also send emails to users. To do this, the first thing we have to do is go to sendgrid.com, and create an account if you do not have one already. Once you have an account, retrieve your API key.

[Editor] Then go to the Platfio Editor, Integrations, then click on Sendgrid. For the first step, paste the API key from your Sendgrid account. Step two is setting up the Sender email, name, address, city, and country. Step three, click on Save, a user authentication pop up will then appear and this will show you your Sendgrid Sender ID below.

Then finally in Step four, click the Test button to check if our email integration is working.

[Manager] Once done, go back to the Platfio Manager, click on marketing, email. Create a Title, and the body for the email.

You can then optionally include an image. And we can also select a link to include into our email to bring users directly back to our app.

For the audience, you can select which users you want to be the target of the email. For this demo, let’s select all users.

We can also choose to send the email immediately, or we can schedule the email to be sent at a future time.

Once you're done setting it up, click on the plus icon to add the email and finalize it.

It will take you back to the Emails Manager, where you can check if the Push notification you created is sent immediately or scheduled.
