[Intro] In this lesson, we’ll be discussing Marketing for your app. In particular, with Push Notifications. Let’s get started.

Push Notifications are an extremely powerful tool that you have in your app to re-engage your customers.

[Manager] It's extremely simple to send push notifications. Go to the Platfio Manager, then click on Marketing, and click on Push.

Let’s Name our notification, “Get a free class!”. You can then write some extended text in the body of that notification.

Sample:

Revitalize Your Week! Enjoy a FREE Class at our Spa/Sauna Haven. Unwind with a complimentary session – Yoga, Meditation, or Pilates. Treat yourself, and claim your spot now! Limited availability, book today and embrace relaxation. Let tranquility be your guide. 🌿✨ #SelfCare #FreeClass #SpaBliss

Optionally we can include an image. And we can also select a link where we would like this notification to take the user on the app. We can use this option if we want to take them directly to an offer.

For the audience, you can select which users you want to be the target of the push notification. For this demo, let’s select all users.

We can also choose to send the notification immediately, or we can schedule the notification to be sent at a future time.

Once done setting it up, You can press the eye icon to check for the preview of the push notification you created to see how it looks on Android or IOS.

Once you’re done reviewing it, click on the plus icon to add the notification and finalise it.

It will take you back to the Push Notifications Manager, where you can check if the Push notification you created is sent immediately or scheduled.

You can also check where your Push Tokens are located by going to the Platfio Manager, click on Users, select a user, and then Detail. Click on the drop down button on Push Tokens and it will show you any push tokens that you have.

Push notifications are great for keeping people informed, reminded and engaged.
