Notebooks

[Intro] In this lesson, we’ll be discussing setting up Notebooks for your app. Notebooks are perfect for goal-setting tools. Let’s get started.

[Editor] To create a Notebook, click on the Platfio editor, then click Tools, then Notebooks, you will be directed to the Notebook Collection Editor page where you can manage and organize all the forms for your app.

To add a new collection, click on the plus button to access the Notebook collection editor. Let’s name this collection ‘Goals’ and press save.

Once you’ve created a collection, let’s create a Notebook. Click on the plus button at the top right. This will open the Notebook Editor.

Let’s name our first notebook ‘Weekly Goals’, add a Note Message saying ‘Add your Weekly Goals here’ and press add. Finally, let’s add this to the Left-Hand side menu.

[Emulator] Next, let's test the Notebook from the user's perspective using the emulator. Open the left-hand menu. We will see that the Notebook we have created is available. Click on Weekly Goals.

Now, users can easily add their weekly goals. Let’s write a goal and press add. Then, as we can see, the goal we have made is now listed and users can manage their goals here.
